New Series

Hey everyone, 

I have a new series up titled Removed. The purpose was to remove people from the context of the photograph and see if they would still work. In doing so, I discovered that to bring context to the photo and make it comfortable for myself, I brought my own control and pre-conceived notions to the photograph. Mostly, the decision to put the subjects on solid pastel color backgrounds. These are familiar and comfortable color palettes for me. I think its interesting to see how we try to control something when we have no previous context to judge it by.
